Treats on the Square sponsored by the Gilmer Police Department will be held Saturday October 31st @ 5pm - 8pm on the Gilmer downtown square.
The Gilmer Police Department offers a safe alternative for the children of our community to be able to trick or treat while positively promoting our downtown merchants and our Community Policing Project. Last year's event provided us with many wonderfully decorated booths, which made the event very enjoyable for the children in the community. Those wishing to participate in the decorating contest are required to notify the department upon verification of participation to insure booth is judged on the date of the event. There will be pumpkin decorating/carving contests for kids and adults as well. Winners will be announced and awards as well as photograpghs will taken taken so please stay for that! Lots of great activities with fun for all like the TREAT STOP SPOT and with maps for special treats, games and activities and fun for all!! So dress up and come for all the fun!!
